Shipping information
Everything is made and sent from the studio in Christchurch, New Zealand, on a tracked courier, to New Zealand addresses only.
Because each piece is embroidered after you order, allow 1–3 business days in the studio before your parcel is dispatched. Courier time is on top of that.
Shipping is free on orders over $125, rural addresses included. Below that, your shipping cost is calculated at checkout from what is in your cart and where it is going — you see it before you pay.
How long it takes
Two numbers, and they add together: the time in the studio, then the time on the road.
| Making time in the studio | 1–3 business days |
|---|---|
| Courier – Tracked | 1–2 business days |
| Courier – Tracked Rural | 3–5 business days |
You choose which courier option applies to your address at checkout.

Order more than one thing and the rates are added together rather than charged as a single parcel rate — the same way the old shop worked. The free-shipping threshold still applies to the whole order.
Rural delivery
Rural delivery costs more and takes longer, and you choose the rural option at checkout if it applies to your address. If you are not sure whether you count as rural, your courier's rural-delivery checker is the authority, not us.
Tracking
Your tracking number is emailed the moment the parcel leaves the studio. If it has not arrived when you expected it, write to info@threadsonkiwi.co.nz and we will chase it.
Worth knowing
- Prices are in New Zealand dollars and no GST is added at checkout.
- We do not ship outside New Zealand.
