Placing an order

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. We accept it when we confirm the order by email, and a contract exists from that point.

We may decline an order — if an item is out of stock, if we cannot stitch what was asked for, or if the personalisation text is one we will not embroider (see below). If we decline after you have paid, you get a full refund.

Personalisation — what you type is what we stitch

This is the part worth reading twice. We embroider the text exactly as you enter it, including spelling, spacing and capitalisation. The product page shows a live preview before you add the item to your cart, and that preview is your chance to check it.

Text is limited to 15 characters, on one line. Letters — including macronised vowels — numbers, spaces and basic punctuation are accepted; emoji and other symbols are not, because they cannot be stitched.

We will not embroider text that is offensive, or that uses someone else's trade mark or copyright without their permission. If we decline on those grounds we will tell you and refund you.

We stitch names and text only. We do not reproduce logos or custom artwork.

Prices and payment

All prices are in New Zealand dollars. Threads On Kiwi is not GST registered, so no GST is added at checkout. Shipping is calculated at checkout from what is in your cart and where it is going, and is free on orders over $125.

Your card is authorised when you place the order and charged when your order is dispatched, because everything is made to order. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your card details.

We try hard to keep prices and product details accurate. If something is listed at an obviously wrong price we will contact you before making the item rather than simply charging it.

Making and delivery

Allow 1–3 business days in the studio before dispatch, then courier time on top. We ship within New Zealand only, on a tracked courier.

Delivery times are estimates given in good faith, not guarantees. Once a parcel is with the courier, how fast it moves is not something we control — but if it goes missing, tell us and we will chase it.

This website

The text, images, designs and embroidery artwork on this site belong to Threads On Kiwi unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to browse, share links, and buy things; please do not copy the content for your own commercial use.

We keep the site running as best a small studio can, but we do not promise it will never be unavailable.

Liability

Where you are buying as a consumer, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 applies and nothing here limits it. Beyond those guarantees, our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it.

If you are buying for a business, the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply to that purchase.

Changes, and which law applies

We may update these terms. The version on this page when you place your order is the one that applies to it, and the date it was last changed is shown at the top.

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
